Project Manager / Principal Civil Designer – Land Development
Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced land development professional for a senior-level opportunity combining project management and principal-level civil design responsibilities. This role is suited to an engineer who can lead projects, manage client relationships, and provide strong technical direction across land development assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage land development projects from initial planning through completion.
- Lead civil engineering design and technical deliverables.
- Oversee grading, drainage, utility, and site development design.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, and specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Provide technical guidance and review to engineering and design staff.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Identify and resolve technical and project-related issues.
- Support business development and ongoing client relationships.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Strong experience in land development engineering and design.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Ability to lead technical design and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of civil site development, grading, drainage, and utilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Salary Range: $150,000 – $190,000, based on experience and qualifications.
