Assurance Manager – Denver, CO

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to lead client engagements and provide high-quality assurance services in Denver. This role is ideal for a seasoned public accounting professional with strong technical expertise, excellent client-management skills, and the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and manage client engagements from planning through completion.
• Review and prepare financial statements, footnotes, workpapers, and management letters.
• Perform and oversee agreed-upon procedures and other attestation engagements.
• Analyze complex client transactions and identify potential or existing issues.
• Research technical matters and develop appropriate solutions.
• Provide constructive recommendations to improve client operations and processes.
• Take ownership of assignments and effectively utilize available firm resources.
• Oversee, mentor, and develop staff members.
• Maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and communication.
• Ensure engagements are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with another public accounting firm.
• Real Estate experience preferred.
• Exceptional analytical, technical, and auditing skills.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB rules and standards.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting required.
• Active CPA license required.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-development abilities.
• Excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to client service.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem fx.
