Civil Engineering Manager – Land Development / Project Management / Business Development

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager / Office Manager to provide leadership for its Sacramento office. This is a senior-level opportunity for a civil engineering or land use professional with a strong project management background, established client relationships, and the ability to support continued business development across the greater Sacramento market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the overall growth and profitability of the Sacramento office.
• Manage staff, projects, schedules, and client requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships throughout the Sacramento metropolitan area.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
• Provide leadership to multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support delivery of land development and civil engineering projects.
• Represent our client within the local professional and business community.
• Contribute to community involvement and professional organizations.
• Provide excellent client service and help strengthen long-term relationships.

Candidate Requirements:

• Background in Civil Engineering or Land Use Planning.
• Approximately 10 years of experience managing projects and staff.
• Demonstrated business development experience within the greater Sacramento metropolitan area.
• California PE license or AICP certification.
• BS in Civil Engineering or MA degree in City/Regional Planning.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service.
• Leadership involvement in professional organizations is preferred.

Salary: $150,000–$225,000 annually.
