Job Description
Our client, a leading competitor in the Civil Engineering industry is looking for a Transportation (Roadway Design) Engineer to join their team. This position is responsible for project design and task management within transportation design. The Transportation Engineer, PE will collaborate with other transportation team members, land surveyors, environmental engineers, construction engineer inspectors, and landscape architects to assist our clients in developing transportation related projects. This role will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of transportation projects with private and public clients throughout the state and southeast.

Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- PE License – Registered in the state of Tennessee Preferred
- EI Registration Required
- 4-6 years of engineering experience with recent experience in transportation design
- Understanding of roadway design guidance from AASHTO
- Knowledge of TDOT guidelines, procedures, and plan preparation
- Experience in development of roadway plans and specifications along with local municipalities and permitting agencies
- Experience with MicroStation, Geopak, OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
