Assurance Senior Associate – Denver, CO

Job Description

Our client is seeking an Assurance Senior Associate to support their Real Estate Industry Group, with a particular focus on Commercial Real Estate. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced public accounting professional who can lead engagements, manage client relationships, and provide direction to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the engagement lead for designated client accounts.
• Manage pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables.
• Develop detailed engagement work plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate engagement activities to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Participate actively in proposals and business development initiatives.
• Lead and support a team of staff associates and interns.
• Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance guidance to team members.
• Maintain strong client relationships through timely, accurate, and professional communication.
• Provide clear direction and leadership throughout the engagement lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the broader Commercial Real Estate team to deliver high-quality assurance services.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working in a public accounting firm.
• Commercial Real Estate experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• CPA license achieved or eligibility to sit for the CPA examination.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem fx is preferred.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong leadership, client-management, and team-development skills.
