Traffic & Transportation Design Engineer

Job Description

Services include traffic signal design, ITS systems, traffic impact studies, corridor modeling, roadway lighting, and more. As a Transportation Design Engineer, you’ll work closely with Project Managers and a collaborative engineering team to deliver technical designs and documentation for a range of traffic and transportation engineering projects. This role offers a blend of in-office design work and on-site field investigations — ideal for a motivated graduate or early-career engineer looking to grow in a dynamic environment.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (focus in Traffic Engineering or Highway Design is a plus).
  • 1–4 years of experience.
  • EIT certification preferred or actively pursuing.
  • Experience or familiarity with traffic signal design and signal timing.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Synchro, HCS, MicroStation, VISSIM, or Corsim is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and independent thinking abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively in a team setting.
